Strange Magic.
Project: Helping Hands.
As time went by a boy as lazy as a koala lived in a tribe without his parents. However, the tribe was all the day working. Some people worked digging holes on the ground for taking plant’s roots, some other people hunt animals or other things so that they could eat, and other people went on walking till arriving at rivers or ponds were they could find water. But the boy stayed all the day sitting down doing nothing. People muttered, “this boy is good for nothing, he is always sitting down on a tree, and we are always working hard, that´s not fair!”.
The boy was very cheerful due to the fact that he did nothing, but when the draught came, a lot of people went to get some water from the streams. When people came back, they told the naughty boy that, near the ponds they could hear the water falling down and they could smell the smelly nature.
Although it was the draught which had came to make the lazy boy work or at least search for water, he never moved from the comfortable tree. One day all the men came back from the ponds carring many water bowls. The naughty boy was very thirsty, so he went to all the houses of the people who looked for water, and when he arrived at a house, he knocked at the door. “Hello, can you give me some water? Please!”, the lazy boy begged. “Ohhh! How enjoyable and kind this boy is!”, the people rejoiced, “Yes, take all you want”.
But one day the boy was so thirsty that he couldn´t pronounce a word. However, he went to one house where he begged if someone could give him some water. “Please, can you give me one or two… or maybe five water bowls?”, he asked. “I am very thirsty and I don´t have water!”. “No!”, the man shouted. “If you want water you have to go and work hard as we did!”.
The boy, instead of looking for his own water, he went to the place were the water bowls were. But… they weren´t there!.
Finally he found them, they were under the bushes. He started drinking and he never stopped. Some minutes later, he thought of hiding the water bowls somewhere so that nobody could drink from them. He thought , he thought and he thought a lot and he realized that he could hide them on the tree brunches, but under the leaves where nobody could see them. So he started placing the water bowls. He was putting the last bowl when the tree started growing and the boy who was climbing the tree, instead of continuing climbing he had to cling from the tree and he went up and up with the tree. After that, some people arrived to the tree looking for water, but the only thing they could find was the boy clinging from the tree. They realized that the boy was holding one water bowl and if they started looking through the leaves they could see a lot of water bowls, so they shouted to the boy, “come down and bring us the water bowls!”.
“If you are thirsty, climb up the tree and get it your own way!”, the boy shouted, because he thought nobody would climb up. But it wasn´t like that, because two men who were very furious started climbing the tree. The naughty boy was extremely frightened, he was really scared because the two men were coming to grab him and all the water bowls. He was thinking about all this and when the bad men were going to grab him but the lazy boy fell onto the bushes. When he stood up he touched his arms and his body and he was all covered by long and thick fur. All the people that were watching him realized that the naughty boy turned into a koala. He was the first koala in the world and some people used to say that now koalas live in gum trees and when they are thirsty they eat tree leaves. Sometimes they moan and wail, well, perhaps that is strange magic.

Bothersome John
Project: Helping Hands
¨John, how many times do I have to tell you “Don´be bad with your sister, Mora?, mum barked out to John.
John was always behaving badly. His dad didn´t like him because John hit him and maybe John wrote on the walls. John and Mora´s dad preferred Mora because she was more intelligent and lovelier.
John was a very evil person, he was aggressive too. He was like that because he used to hit all the people and he didn´t want to give clothes to children in great need. He was very ugly, because he never brushed his teeth. Mora was very nice and kind with everybody. One day Mora and his family went to a park and she gave some food to the birds. When she did that, the horrible John gaped at Mora. She was very lovely and she usually giggled.
At summer holidays, John and his family went to the beach. Mora discovered that in the sea there were very big and hungry sharks. But Mora knew that his father was going to rush and save her life. So, she went into the sea. When her dad saw that Mora was in the sea with sharks, instead of strolling, he darted to save Mora´s life. Mora was so happy when his dad saved her.
As John goggle at Mora, he decided to enter the sea because he thought that his dad would save his life. But it wasn´t like that, his dad didn´t save his life because he was really bothersome. John felt so sad when his dad didn´t want to save him.
Mora realized that if nobody saved John´s life, he would never learn that he had to be respectful and polite. So, Mora saved John´s life, and he learnt that he had to be a good person, he learnt that when he speaks he has to hiss and not to bark, and when his sister is sleeping he has to tiptoe.
